ALARM 23

Amrita Legion for Antimicrobial Resistance Management (ALARM) is a two-day hybrid international conference organized by School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, on November 17th and 18th, 2023.

ALARM 2023 aligns with the World Health Organization’s World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) official theme of “Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance”. The goal of this conference is to encourage and facilitate the spread of awareness of the burgeoning antibiotic resistance crisis that poses a long-term threat to humanity worldwide. Events for ALARM 2023 will focus on the actions to fight antimicrobial resistance. These include actions that prevent infections, improve antibiotic and antifungal use to slow the development of resistance, and stop the spread of resistance when it does develop.
